Carpin Manufacturing Receives the James C. Smith Spirit of Excellence Award

Carpin Manufacturing is proud to announce that it has received the James C. Smith Spirit of Excellence Award from the United Way of Greater Waterbury, recognizing the company’s long-standing commitment to workplace giving, employee engagement, volunteerism, and community leadership.
The recognition was featured during an episode of The Way Forward podcast, where the United Way celebrated the success of its 2025–2026 Make Someone’s Moment campaign and recognized organizations making a positive impact across the Greater Waterbury community.
“Giving back is more than an annual campaign it’s a commitment embraced across the organization,” said David Ferraro, President of Carpin Manufacturing, during The Way Forward podcast.
Ferraro and Ralph Carpinella, Founder of Carpin Manufacturing, also discussed the company’s long-standing partnership with the United Way and highlighted employees’ participation in volunteer initiatives, including repair and improvement work at Park Central.
