Carpin offers a wide assortment of heavy duty unhooded twin wheel casters that feature riveted construction for added strength and durability.
While this riveting process is slightly more expensive than standard caster construction, it is highly recommended for high stress applications, including heavy duty carts, heavy tables, and filing cabinets.
With normal caster construction, the plastic wheels securely snap into a steel axle. With riveted construction, a larger axle is riveted through the wheels and the housing to create a longer and stronger attachment point that is less likely to fail under extreme loads and heavy use.
Carpin offers riveted heavy duty twin wheel casters in standard wheel diameters ranging from 50mm to 125mm. The wheels are constructed with a nylon core and a soft cover (PA or PU) to create a quieter and more comfortable feel. Hard PA wheels can also be substituted for certain industrial applications. The choice between a hard and soft caster depends largely on the flooring environment and the application.
Riveted heavy duty unhooded casters can be ordered either with no brake or with a lever brake.
