Engineering Opportunity

Carpin Manufacturing, Inc. is a 35-year old hardware manufacturer, distributor and designer serving the office and school furniture industries. As we constantly design and implement new products, manufacturing equipment and processes we grow our offerings to our customers and build our strength in the industry.

The candidate will grow to be a key part of the company and working with the President, will be primarily responsible for communicating with factory assets and suppliers for the purpose of costing customer quote requests and for following those quotes through the new product development process.

We are seeking to add to our engineering team with a creative self-starter who will be part of a team that:

• Designs products & tooling for efficiency and optimum performance

• Works with suppliers on quality standards, manufacturing methods and cost reduction

• Works with the largest and most successful furniture manufacturers in the world on product designs, performance and quality

• Works intimately with Carpin production departments for improved quality & efficiency

• Participates in every aspect of new projects, from concept to fulfillment

An ideal candidate has:

• Experience in product and/or tooling design, specifically injection molding, metal stamping, assembly and cold forging

• Proficiency in CAD software, ideally Creo / ProENGINEER, as well as a thorough working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word

• Excellent organization and time management skills- ability to manage and drive multiple concurrent projects

• Excellent creativity and problem-solving skills
